As
the new year approaches, please make a tax-deductible
donation to Rebel Theater via the web
or by mail on our Support
page.
Rebel needs your support to fulfill our goals of creating new work
through our Che reading series and
Lab, collaborating with theaters in new and diverse
projects, and bringing entertaining, political, and
socially invigorating voices to the American stage.
Rebel
Theater would like to thank everyone who participated
and attended the successful run of the workshop production
adaptation of Ira Aldridge's "The
Black Doctor" directed by Nick Petrie, Associate
Artistic Director of Rebel Theater.
"The
Black Doctor" is a timeless
love story centering around the universal themes
of racial
equality, cultural wars, and the freedom to love
outside one’s race.
As
an original concept, this progressive adaptation of Ira
Aldridge classic play incorporated elements of physical
theater and various elements of post Hurricane Katrina as
it is juxtaposed against Paris, France during the French
Revolution.
Rebel
Theater is
a growing not-for-profit company that needs the financial support
of the public.
Please
don't hesitate to make a donation to Rebel
Theater either online
or by mail. Please go to
our Support
page
for more information on donating.
